IT HAVE BEEN RELEASED THE 14TH ISSUE OF “SONASTE MANECO”, THE FREE MAGAZINE ABOUT COMIC ART AND CULTURE PUBLISHED IN ARGENTINA BY LA BAÑADERA DEL COMIC
We celebrate our fifth anniversary with an XXL issue dedicated to the figure of ERNESTO CHE GUEVARA. 80 years after his birth and 40 years after the original release of VIDA DEL CHE (The Life of Che), the comic-book biography made by Héctor Germán Oesterheld, Alberto Breccia and Enrique Breccia, we talk in exclusive with ENRIQUE BRECCIA about the Guevarian influence on the Argentinian youth from the ’60s, the armed struggle and the man turned into a pop icon. Also, a complete comic strip from CARLOS TRILLO and LUCAS VARELA
It appeared the fourteenth issue of Sonaste Maneco, online quarterly magazine devoted to comics and cartoon information, analysis, debate and critic of the ninth art and its influence on the cultural scope of modern societies. At 80 years of ERNESTO CHE GUEVARA’s birth, and 40 years after the original release of VIDA DEL CHE (The Life of Che), the comic-book biography made by Héctor Germán Oesterheld, Alberto Breccia & Enrique Breccia, we talk with ENRIQUE BRECCIA about the Guevarian influence on the Argentinian youth from the ‘60s, the armed struggle, peronism and the dichotomy between the Pop Icon and the Man incapable of betraying himself. Also, we celebrate our fifth anniversary with a comic strip by CARLOS TRILLO & LUCAS VARELA.
This issue also includes a tour into the Italian publisher house BONELLI COMICS and, from Cuba, the tribute to the great American cartoonist Al Hirschfeld, made by XIOMARA RODRIGUEZ using the Patchwork technique. La Bañadera del Cómic is a work group conformed by Andrés Ferreiro, Mario Formosa (in memoriam), Fernando Ariel García, Hernán Ostuni and Rodriguez Van Rousselt, authors and publishers of the books Oesterheld: En primera persona, Oesterheld: En tercera persona, Vera historia no oficial del grande y famoso cacique tehuelche Patoruzu and La Historieta Latinoamericana book series. For the Sonaste Maneco magazine, the comic art is an emergent from the popular culture and, therefore, a worth tool to unravel and to understand the social and political behaviors of the contemporary world.
